- Dumbledore giving orders to Fudge while still an enemy of the state is one of the series most boss moments.

- A bit cynical, but he's not incorrect.

- You'd think all the time fighting with Hermione would have better prepared Ron to fight another brain.

(2) Harry, Luna and Neville being the only ones who can hear voices behind the veiled archway should have been a light bulb moment, since they're also the only ones who can see thestrals.

- Ron does this in front of Hermione. James did exactly the same thing in front of Lilly.

Phineas Nigellus would have been a great addition to the films.

At this point, I think Fudge realized he lost all moral authority and that his career was over. It was sort of a checkmate moment, that was equally satisfying for vindicating Dumbledore as it was for putting Fudge in his place.

I really love the scene where Harry basically throws a temper tantrum in front of Phineas Nigellus, and he’s just like, “I have better things to do than listen to this” 😆 I don’t think there’s a single character that’s boring in this series! Even the minor characters are entertaining in some way.

Minor characters are just so familiar that when things happen to Susan Bones or Justin Finch-Fletchley or Ernie McMillan or Hannah Abbot, or a myriad of other names, you're concerned for them. It's really quite remarkable how much you care about what are essentially background characters. Phineas Nigellus may not have had many lines, but he's a scene stealer and certainly memorable.
The background characters don't get many moments to shine, so you give them a few quirks to make sure they stick to you. J.K. nailed it.

She uses a lot of shorthands to convey personality, from the house they're sorted in to their names to subjects they excel in. It's all quite brilliantly put together.
