If you were a fan of White Teeth or On Beauty, you will probably hate this book. I finished the whole thing and I still don't get it. Maybe I'm too literal for this style that Smith was trying for NW. Basically this book is more about her writing style and less about the story. Some may be into it, but I found the poetic, stream of consciousness style confusing and unnecessary.
