Status Updates From NW

There has to be more to life than decoding what someone is saying :(. Too much poetry speak. It’s frustrating because I can tell the plot and the characters are interesting, but the writing is too complex and would greatly benefit from simplicity. It’s gonna have to be DNF for me.

Leah is too nice. Shar did her dirty but she understands it’s not personal and she’s got problems and she offers to help.

Okay that small chapter read like poetry but no breaks. I don’t know for me I don’t understand why this is considered artistic and cool and good art because all it is to me is confusing and I prefer when language is accessible.

Actually hilarious of Zadie Smith to make Leah the only white girl on the team and have her complain a little about it. This book is going well but also she’s talking in riddles and it’s giving me a headache, it’s too poetic, I wish she’d talk straightforward. But it’s still good, just taking me time to understand what’s going on. This would be even better if it was written plainly.
