Feel like I'm teetering at the top of a terrifyingly high rollercoaster that drops STRAIGHT DOWN, and there's no sight of any more of the track ahead so yep that's all I have to say at this point

This is my first time reading Stephen King or any horror book at all. I always thought they were a joke - I never understood how fictional WORDS could illicit truly unbearable horror in a reader's mind. Unfortunately (??) .. I completely get it now.
