All the emotional back and forth between Fiona and Seth was a tad boring and very repetitive. 😒

But the plot has been very good, so far.

The story is taking unexpected turns, which is holding my interest...despite my worries about the covid coronavirus pandemic, the lockdown we are in, etc.

Been wondering for a while now if the army wants the Radiasure element to return all "mutants" to normal by reversing the effects. By taking mutations out, the army can defeat all the syndicates at once and regain control of the country. The army might be trying to do the right thing here, but Fiona doesn't know that...?

I wonder if Graham is still in cahoots with this syndicate father, and they both planted Fiona in this desert so as to uncover the Radiasure ingredient (in the pools)?! Her escape/relocation to this very spot can't be a total coincidence...!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't book 1 have them swimming in underground pools of glowing blue water, and Radiasure is glowing blue in colour. So wouldn't that be the "missing ingredient"?
If yes, then this is really TOO obvious, even for a novel meant for young adults. 🙄

(side note: Entering day 1 of SARS-CoV-19 (Covid-19) lockdown in India. 😓)

I'm hoping that reading will take my mind off of the Covid-19 pandemic scare. 😓😷
