So far in chapter 17 Elisa the princess of Brudisale has been taken throught the desert by her maid,Cosme and other travelers. They got her by using the duerma leaf which puts people to sleep. They are nice to her because Humberto likes Elisa, but he doesn't know that she's already married. Also she carries the godstone which is very rare stone that only certain people have.

She realizes when she came out of the tent Belen was in there talking to the Inverinos. Then she thinks that Belen had lead them to her hiding spot. She finds a lake. She sits in it but her legs are all bumpy and red. When she sits in it the water burns her but she doen't care at all.

Animagus comes back and drinks the tea. Then he falls right asleep so she steals the godstone in his amulet that he is wearing and runs away back to the camp. She tries to climb back up into her hiding place but she scrapes her wrist and she broke her nail. She bandages it up with some cloth that she found.

When they leave Elisa at the hideout the invernos find her and capture her. They take her to their camp.A guy named animagus was being nice to her. But when he left Elisa put duerma leaf in his tea and sits right back in the same spot. Then he comes back with their dinner.

Humberto and Cosme try to hide in a place that they played in when they were younger. They camp out there, but when they try to follow the danger the godstone gets icy cold which tightens Elisa's musles in her stomach. After a little while Humberto and Cosme hide Elisa while they go after them but when they leave Humbuerto kisses Elisa.

Humberto, Elisa, and Cosme help the people in the little village because everyone even the little kids have something wrong with them. After they help the people they head out through the hot desert. A day later the air is moist, but Elisa'a godstone inside of her starts to turn ice cold. She says that they should hide because it turns icy cold when danger is near.
