This is so fascinating. The depth to each character is really so compelling.

34 - Legoshi hides when he sees Louis visiting the shrine of the dead student from vol 1. And he’s able to stop a carnivore from attacking Louis and uncovers a plot to keep him from becoming beastar. L realizes he needs to protect Louis and so has to deal with his feelings for Haru by... confessing. She freaks so he says to meet him at the festival. And she gets kidnapped!

33 - we learn Louis was adopted by his powerful infertile father at 5 from the black market. He was set to be eaten but because he was a red deer with pride he lived instead. His father put him in a waiting room with predators he had to fight with a knife. When he went to kill himself rather be eaten his new dad saved him, he passed the test.

32 - Louis tells Juno he’ll stop her from becoming beastar and Legoshi won’t be so easy to watch him. So when there’s a blackout she follows him as he looks for Haru, who thinking he’s Louis embraces him. Juno is shocked...

31 - Juno shows her true colors... Louis learns she’s worked hard to gain the herbivore drama club animals approval. Later when they’re alone she assaults him and declares war, saying she’s going to be the next beastar and win Legoshi. Pretty sexualized positioning here.

30 - Legoshi and Haru get away and she tells him she’s glad she survived an attack earlier (from him!) so she could meet him. He realizes he can’t tell her that was him. Louis is attacked by the tiger actor. He pulls a gun when the tiger tries to blackmail him about his past. He’s not taking any crap from predators, I admire that.

29 - Legoshi steaks until it’s the day before the festival. Everyone goes home early but he waits for Haru. They walk to the train where she feels he lectures her about respecting herself. She tries to leave and he stops her so bystanders think he’s attacking her. She says run, they hide in a toilet. He’s happy because he’s by the girl he loves.

28 - his friend confronts him when he finds a rabbit porno in his bed. Legoshi decides to let his feelings go. Then he sees a Louis approach Haru and he realizes his feelings are deeper than he thought. He crushes tubes of paint in his hand.

26 - Louis and Haru have a sexual relationship which is graphically shown us in this chapter. They met when he was hiding after shedding his horns. She let him stay in the shed until his prosthetic horns were ready and they became close. She wants his love but he tells her they have to marry within their species to have pure blood children. Legoshi is about to knock when L exits.
