When Ishmael tortures people and destroys people's lives and their families why doesn't he think about how he felt when this happened to him. He has gone through the worst kinds of things but now he is doing the same to others and I think that's really wrong. He doesn't understand that he is doing exactly the same things as the rebels and this doesn't make him any better then them.

i think the "headaches", Ishmael are having are not physical, but actually emotional. he is feeling so much pain and loss that it is actually affecting his body. he is trying to cure it, but i dont think it can be.

even thought he doesn't admit it, i think Ishmael feels guilty for being mad at Gasemu before he died. it wasn't really Gasemu's fault his family died, and i think he knows this but wont admit it because he wants someone to blame.

i think this terrible experience is bringing the true self out in people. some decide to shut themselves away from everyone else, some dont trust anyone and hurt anyone who comes near, some help others, and some will even sacrifice their own lives to help others.
