75 word summary: High School baseball player starts his senior year with a cold start. He is struggling and he knows if he doesn't pick it up he won't be playing in college. He has scouts and he knows that he has to play well. A new kid moved in next door he is a really good baseball player and the main character in my book battles him for a spot on the team.

The theme of my book relates to my life because the theme is to always try your hardest. Whenever I play sports I always try my hardest so my life relates to the theme of my book. It also relates to my life because another theme of my book is to never give up even when your down. whenever I feel like giving up I don't because it will only hurt my team. That is how my life relates to the book.

The point of view of my book is first person and it helps me gain understanding of the main character because i can see into his mind and i know his thoughts and feelings. I know more about the character's actions and it would be different from another point of view because i wouldn't know as much about the character or his personality. I wouldn't be able to see his thoughts if told from another point of view.

The plot of my book compares to the plot of the book I read at the beginning of the year because they both deal with a sport and how a specific character works their way up to become a star. Both books have a character who doesn't know what they want to do with their sports career. The falling action of both books is similar because they both deal with the sports player being signed to a college team.

THe character's actions in my book help develop the theme because if the main character made stupid choices he would not have been able to play baseball. The setting helps develop the theme because it mostly takes place at a high school and if you play sports and you get in trouble then your reputation will go down completely. The theme of my book is think before you act.

An incident in my book that reveals aspects of my character is when my main character gets injured playing in the playoffs of his last season in high school. He was considering about quitting but then he would have never got a chance to play in the majors. The incident shows strength and courage and how much he had his mind set on playing baseball. He continued to play in the game and that shows honor.

One paragraph in my book that helps develop a key concept is when my main character had to choose to play baseball even though he was injured. This paragraph showed strength and if he didn't play then he might not have played ever again because he had scouts watching him. Without this paragraph there wouldn't have been a climax to my book.

The theme from my first book relates to the theme of my second book because they are both about sports and dealing with never giving up no matter what. A difference is that one book deals with football and the other one deals with baseball and there's different moods and feelings from both books. The two books are very similar because the main idea of both books is to always try your hardest.

THe relationship between my protagonist and my antagonist is that the protagonist is really good at baseball and he has scouts watching him and his friend gets jealous so he makes fun of him. His friend wishes he could be as good at baseball as (the main character) Jimmy so to get back at him he just makes fun of him even though he is really good at baseball.

Yes my author does use characterization to develop my protagonist by talking about their thoughts and feelings and I can really enter the protagonist's mind. The spoken words in my book really help me to determine the character's actions.
