Actually pretty impressed with this polygraph definition for noting that it "measures changes in the human body to detect stress that may indicate a person is lying" (138) rather than just saying it can tell if you're lying or not. Well done, CSI book glossary!

"Ligature...a device used to bind or tie, commonly referred to as an instrument of strangulation" (137). Even if it's not used to strangle? I am (genuinely) confused

But even then...why the hell would you need legal permission to get surgery if you're a grown ass adult?

"The others on the CSI team know crime scenes with bodies in them. Dr. Robbins knows the crime scenes inside bodies" (81). Despite the fact that this book (and show) predated Belinda Blinked, still can't help but think of that Dr. Robbins. Thanks a lot, Rocky Flintstone.
