Honestly, this book is so beautiful, with so many stories and details I never knew from mythology characters. I'm so glad I'm taking my time with it, because that way I'm savouring every single story in it.

I'm surprised to know about Theseus and Hercules in a different way. The first one, was the best king Athens could have, whilst Hercules was their greatest hero. Both of them marvellous heroes.
And... every time I read about the Trojan War, I feel so sad about it. Many lives were lost for the sake of Olympian Gods' childish desires.
I am keen on Achilles and Patroclus relationship (wether is romantic or not).

I did not know Perseus was the great-grandfather of Hercules. But I mean, it's kind of hard to know all Zeus sons, or where they came from since he fucked everything that he liked.
I'm almost half way through and I've been loving every single thing, but I gotta be honest, remembering all those names it's a challenge, especially when they come in Roman or Latin.

I feel like a happy child on Xmas reading these amazing stories and characters. But let get this straight: Zeus and Her are the perfect example of what a toxic relationship is.
Prometheus is one of my favorite gods.
And the story about Demeter and Persephone is somehow beautiful.
Dionysus is also a god that I find really interesting.
Even Hermes, with his cocky attitude, and his weird sense of honor too.

I think that no matter who tells the story, it will always have gaps, since they're myths. I'm JUST glad I got this book, not only for the beautiful edition, but also because it explains some things I didn't know.
I'm reading it in a slow peace, though.
