I am struggling with this. And I keep asking myself why. But I don't know why. I am not uncomfortable (maybe I am?), but I am queasy and sad and disheartened and disgusted by society and the hero's need to change his son just to "improve" the way his son is perceived in society, since being any shade of Black is so so so negative. Blargh.
