I love Ead so much and she is riding in like a knight in shining armor to save her queen. I love her so much and I need her and Sab to be together and be fine. The scene with the heads outside of the castle was so powerfully vile, it made everything feel so scary and real. And the fight with the wyverns on the way over was great. This is so great. (Can Sab and read please get married before the book ends?)

This has nothing to to with this but I just finished the last episode of CXG and it was beautiful, and I of course cried A LOT. Love this show so much. The special extra episode with the cast performances was such a happy moment, I know now what I'm watching the next time I'm sad. One of my all time favourite shows, it means very much to me.

This is really good. The romance is beautiful and the intrigue is captivating. I'm obsessed wth finding out everything about this world and it's legend. I really really want to know all the secrets of the priory and everything about the dragons and everything about everything. But most of all it's just a beautiful story. Someone wrote that it's a feminist lotr and I almost have to agree. I'm low-key in love

Everyone is either gay our female or both, it awesome. And I absolutely adore all of the lore, it's super fascinating. My favourite POV is definitely Ead (and Loth's at the parts where he stumbles upon interesting secrets, even though I don't find his character very captivating). I'm sadly a bit disappointed by the dragons, I think they are too ethereal to be interesting.

This book is so gorgeous, inside and out. I'm really loving reading it, the pacing is calm and it takes it's time and it's such a good time. I've been reading it during my breaks all day and during my commute. I'm not in a rush to finish it I just want to enjoy the ride and I want to know everything about the world and it's myths.
