LATE UPDATE. I'm reading chapter 41 now and the book seems to be on the rise to something important. The book is taking place before the plague right now and is talking about Miranda in Malaysia. She seems to be getting the sickness.

As I read on the book is jumping back and forth from present to past, or I guess it could be present to future. The book is getting harder and harder to follow, but once I understand what it is talking about I want to keep reading.

In chapter 24 Kirsten and August get separated from the group and find a man holding a rifle. This man (Finn) brings them to a house. This is the first untouched house that they have seen in years and they take advantage of it. Taking clothes and books etc. This shows how the people during this time in the book really did scavage for things that they need to live.

LATE UPDATE.
I am currently catching up on my updates this week but as I start to read the story again I am very interested. In the short twenty second chapter Deiter talks about how he saw an airplane in his dream. The more that I think about the meaning of this it is clear that he is connecting air travel to the technology that we have today and that after the plague they don't.

The book is now in the past and telling the story from behind. Arthur now seems to be the protagonist of the story, The story is telling his life up to the point of the plague. So far the book is very good, going to keep reading until I fall asleep!

Throughout chapter 7 It really shows us how big the sickness was and how life changed for people during this. They were being pulled by houses instead of traveling in cars because there is not gas. This is a very interesting story so far but hard to keep up with because of how its changing times.

After the first chapter, I am really tuned into this book. The first page started off with someone having a heart attack. How much more action could you get? A romantic night turned into death.
