Nasuada was challenged by Fadawar to the Trial of Long Knives in which Nasuada was victorious. Eragon is making his way back to the Varden where Roran is training. I found the Trail of Long Kinves interesting because it is a very strange way to challenge the leader of the Varden. It is strange because in order to win you need no leadership skills.

The leader of the elf group his using some kind of magic to make all of the women in the camp be attracted to him. My favorite character is Saphira because she is a dragon and she can use magic.

Even though the elves and their leader Blödhgarm was reluctant at first he made an offer to help the Varden. Nasuada is deciding whether she should allow them to help or not. Brisingr is a great title for this book. The title fits very well because it shows how at first he only knew very simple words like brisingr and now he can speak fluently in the ancient language.

The elves have arrived to help the Varden defeat Galbatorix. Also Roran has been sent on a mission to get ride of some of the Empire’s soldiers. The conflict of this novel is that Galbatorix is trying to take over the Varden and he has a new accomplice who is evenly matched against Eragon.

As Eragon returned he is getting reacquainted with the Varden and Saphira. I think that the Empire will launch another attack on the Varden and Eragon will defeat the new Dragon Rider.

Eragon has sent Slaon to get help in Ellesméra and Roran took Katrina back to the camp. Arya is very strict because she won”t let anything get in her way when she has a job.
