The archetypal symbol in Percy Jackson and the Battle of the Labyrinth is the maze. The maze symbolizes getting over something inside yourself. Not for Percy but for Quintus. When Quintus actually reveals that he is Daedalus.

The tone of Percy Jackson and the Battle of The Labyrinth is mysterious because they never know what’s coming up in the maze and what they will find.

Grover is goofy, Annebeth is wise, Percy is Brave and also funny, Tyson is innocent. Everyone in the story has a different role that plays into the storyline.

Something Rick Riordan does to make the reader curious is make us wonder about the Different ways Percy, Annebeth, and Tyson will try and find Daedalus in the maze. He also makes me wonder about what exactly will happen when the find Daedalus. Will he do something unexpected? What if it’s all a trap. That’s what the author makes us curious about.
