Lovely watercolor variant cover by David Mack
Editorially speaking, this is pretty disappointing for a hardcover edition. There's no back matter at all except for a couple acknowledgement pages from Millar and Romita Jr. It doesn't even have the ubiquitous variant cover gallery, which is one of the reasons to get trades over single issues.

Thoughts:
(1) "Kick-Ass" was about superhero deconstruction, and as such was fun and optimistic, "Kick-Ass 2" was about super-villain deconstruction, and as such was grim and depressing. I'm not sure yet what this is supposed to be.
(2) Perhaps a response to backlash, but the depiction of disabled and homosexual characters is remarkably positive.

Thoughts:
(1) Continuity error: This picks up right where the last book left off. Except there Hit-Girl lost her mask and wig. Here they magically made their way back to her head.
(2) I keep getting ink onto my fingers with these books! Don’t know if it’s a Marvel thing or what. I never had this problem with DC or Image.
(3) So far, sorta tame...
