The Other Side of the Wind as a Failed Entertainment as the fictional Infinite Jest (V?). John Huston playing J.O. (a stand-in for DFW) as a stand-in for Welles. Metempsychosis.

I've convinced my teaching partner to read this, and she seems to be enjoying it. My first IJ recommendation victory. The last time I recommended this to someone, I lent them my copy and they spilled some unspecified liquid on it, irreparably wrinkling the first 200 pages. The clean copy I'm currently reading was snagged for me from a garage by my Uncle Mike, who has some very DFWy mannerisms. Good guy.
