On my TBR list since I was a kid. Much too early to say anything definitive but should report that during the first several chapters I’ve found myself convulsed — several times — by diaphragmatic contractions resulting in a series of involuntary, coughlike vocal barks. Paradoxically perhaps, the end result of these brief but recurring respiratory seizures have proven to be exceptionally pleasant and oddly analgesic.
