I loved the description of Eleanor going to tea with a school friend when she described what she usually had at home e.g asparagus veloute with a poached duck egg and hazelnut oil.

Now she is standing outside Johnnie’s flat, brass rubbing his name plate & I’m feeling very anxious!!!
