I like how the author built up some suspense before actually telling us what Kris did wrong because even though sometimes I love when authors get straight to the point, in this type of situation, it seemed like a right time to make us wait even longer for the final reveal.

The main character is being introduced mainly by showing how she reacts when the plane is shaking and how she knows a lot of medical information.
