Then the book finished. On the very next page. Just when I started to think that something important was about to happen.
The other 25 pages are taken up by a preview of the first part of the next book in the series, which I could then buy from Mr Amazon.
I'm not entirely happy about this because a book is a thing that should have a beginning, middle and end. Guess which part is missing! Yep - then end.

It's like this book is just setting the scene for a series. There's not much of a story, but there's a lot if background and description.

Dunno what it is but there's something a bit off about the prose. Apart from that things are repeated too often (padding?) it's perhaps summat to do with lack of contractions or something like that. Still, the story is moving on now, so it's all good.

Well written, with a certain amount of tension and some interesting ideas, but I'm on Chapter 4 now and I've no real idea of where this story is going.
