I was so worried this was gonna screw up in terms of disability and although I'm not super sold on the source of my relief (ie not sure sure why this character would be this mature about this) I'm still so relieved the author has basically promised me not to screw up I might cry.

Also, the line "A lady does not have the luxury to be squeamish about blood" might need a t-shirt.
