It is only at this point the author starts to explain what the Higgs boson is. Then again it does need the setup and background of the entire book to explain it.

This book is taking me ages to read, but is a real mind bender!

Similar to "Thinking in Systems" I love how it makes me question the way I approach and model problems.

The "How we violated parity..." chapter was so fun to read—it's seeing into the mind of someone making a massive scientific discovery.

Michael Faraday sounds awesome!

Really making me want to do some experiments!

This book has done the astounding feat of making me understand Newtons laws in a way that my GCSE and A-level physics never could. Instead of teaching F=ma and teaching me how to use formulas, Lederman walked through the entire logic of how Newton unified many theories of mechanical motion into one and how he got there.

The written dialogue between the author and Democritus is quite funny and easy to digest (for a section about philosophy—which is often a chore to read)

Looking forward to particle physics and (apparently) quirky jokes :)
