On my first couple of reads, all characters' chapters were interesting.
But this time around, I can't seem to invest in Dalinar's arc because it is just not enticing when I already know it all. Meanwhile, for Kaladin's chapters arc, I'm reading with the same enthusiasm as if it is the first time.
Strange though, because Dalinar's arc furthers the overarching story than Kaladin's.

Nah. I want to read the book now. I don't own the physical copies, I've read these on my mobile earlier. So, what I did instead of continuing with the audiobook or read from the mobile app where the book is already available is that I ordered all 3 books from Amazon, the split-book editions along with pre-ordering Rhythm of War (which is a single book edition). WoK part 2 is unavailable. I like the white + red covers

I will 'try' to refresh my memory of the story so far by listening to Graphic Audio's audiobooks. These are audio books are abridged, cinematic productions of the books (music, bg noises, battle noises, etc).
I'm not interested in re-reading these tomes now (I'm afraid I might be tired of how information-stuff Stormlight Archive books are, maybe its temporary, maybe not). Looking forward to 'Rhythm of War' in Nov.

Okay. I can sense the avalanche coming, the storm brewing. But there still some time before they hit I think, still not clear links between all the parallel storylines.

I think I know why the spheres Kaladin has always seem to lose their Stormlight. Fuck, I can't wait for the moment he realizes what it means!
But is my guess even correct?
P.S: No, don't answer. I'm just reflecting on what I'm reading :P

She was not going to ruin a good dress for a pot of drooling, wall-staring, imbecile grass. And that was that.
Hahahaha. In every other world, someone describing 'grass' in those terms would have been the actual imbecile. But here, where the character comes from, it makes sense from her perspective. Lol.

:D I was blown away with everything in the prelude to prologue and the prologue. The Lashing fight scene was sick!!!
But I can't say the same about the 7 chapters I've read so far. They have been good. I'm sort of confused by Kaladin's turn of fortunes, I hope there are explanations about what happens during the first battle scene with Kaladin.
With the length that this book is, I understand that all characters need a proper setup for their arcs, so I'm just holding off my judgements, but Shallan and Jasnah scenes are a tad too drawn out so far. Shallan's pondering thoughts are repetitive, but I think it is so just to show the urgency and desperation of her situation.
Stormlight magic is mysterious still. The 'spren' are even more mysterious. Shardblades sound awesome. I'm hoping for more flushed out details about the magic soon.

Yep. But this is the slowest I've read any Cosmere book so far. Partly because I want to spend as much time imagining every tiny detail while reading. Partly because the book is dense, in a sense that there is so much detail, even forming vague visions of its description take more time than usual, so I'm not able to read it at my normal pace. :D

that first assassination scene is just mind boggling. think about the time when Szeth will meet someone who is just like him... its going to give you goosebumps. ;)
Kaladin's story is told through flashbacks throughout the book. you have to patient. it's just remarkable to see how his journey started and how this book ends for him. and then there is his mystery spern too.
Shallan and Jasnah are way more complex than Kal. :(
keep me update. having read this last month, everything is so fresh in my mind. :)

2018 is gonna be all about fantasy! I got plans! Hopefully, I will be able to squeeze in Mistborn trilogy. Not gonna touch SLA for a couple years! :P
