I totally understand Carmen's need right now. You want to be one place out of desperation and love. you want to be a huge part of one thing, but you can't because you need to go other places. You can't be part of it. I wouldn't take as drastic measures as Carmen is planning to, though. She really puts herself something that she wants. She wants to be a part of the babys life, and she's willing to give up her college

I think a lot of lines in this book are powerful. The line about jumping higher thn you actually could stood out to me. It really expresses Tibby's character. She's very real in a sense that she can't hope for something great to happen. She just doesn't let herself see things a s a possible reality.

During the beginning, Tibby admitted that she was terrible at having things change. I agree because she's always been stubborn. She didn't let Bailey to be her assistant willingly until. She heard of her cancer and kind of pitied her. She also holds on to her assumptions about people. 4 example, she never changed her opinions about the Wallmans employees until Bailey. She never changed her thoughts because its hard
