Once Cupcake left Candy's house a cop found her and asked her if she was lost from there he asked her what her name was and if she had any relatives. After she had answered his questions she was taken to Diane house and after the cop had left Diane hit Cupcake so hat she fell on the floor. The day cupcake turned 12 was the day that Pete, Diane's nephew left for boot camp.

Cupcake had run away from her foster home. Once she ran away she found a park and stayed there she had met a lady named Candy she was a prostitute she gave Cupcake some food and a somewhere to live but Cupcake didn't to stay there because she didn't want guy to do the samething that Pete did to her.

Cupcake had recently found her mom dead. They had a funeral for her mom but they had more things on their mind than just the funeral. Cupcake and her brother Larry were forced to move in with their biological father that they had never met before.
