I haven't been great at keeping track of my thoughts as i read of late, but since there's so much interest in this book:

- it's more fun than it feels like it should be based on a sorta lame plot (but a pretty cool setting)
- the character is sorta a young mark watney with boobs. which is fun, but i'm not sure it's exactly a stretch for weir to write. I also don't think i'd have noticed if I hadn't read the martian
