People say we're unlucky because we don't have parents. But i think they're unlucky because they don't have a brother like mine.

oh my god ty don't make me cry while i'm getting my iron infusion

"I have to hand it to you," [Magnus] said. "I never thought Jace and Clary would be topped by anyone else in terms of insane, self-destructive decisions, but you all are giving them a run for their money."

oh magnus

And every time he saw Emma after that it was like a knife in his chest, but a knife whose pain he welcomed. A blade whose hilt he held in his own hand, pressed against his own heart, and nothing and no one could have taken it away from him.

"You're suggesting we burn down Blackthorn Manor?" said Ty, his eyebrows up around his hairline.
"Oddly," Magnus muttered, "you wouldn't be the first people ever to have that idea."

9 years ago, for the same update, i wrote that i had no idea who did this and i'll probably find out in chain of gold, and i was so right

"I want you to dream about only one thing and want only one thing and obsess about only one thing like I do—"
"Julian—" she gasped, desperate to stop him, to stop all this before it was too late.
"—like I do with you!" he finished.

oh, julian

"I want you to know what it's like. To be tortured all the time, night and day, desperately wanting what you know you should never want, what doesn't even want you back. To know how it feels to understand that a decision you made when you were twelve years old means you can never have the one thing that would make you truly happy."

"I was just curious what words you liked." [...]
"It's not meaning, just the sound," he said. "Glass, twin, apple, whisper, stars, crystal, shadow, lilt." [...]
"Whisper would be one of mine too...Cloud, secret, highway, hurricane, mirror, castle, thorns."
"Blackthorns," said Ty, with a dazzling smile, and Kit knew...where the Blackthorns were, was his home now.

Long ago the pieces of his soul had scattered, and every piece lived in one of his brothers or sisters. Except for the piece that lived in Emma, which had been burned into his home in her by the flame of the parabatai ceremony, and the pressure of his own heart.

oh julian you pine so well

Okay those two pictures?
1. "a girl carrying a blade that looked like Cortana." OBVIOUSLY CORDELIA CARSTAIRS
2. "four boys in Edwardian clothes by the side of a river." Thames River, Matthew Fairchild, James Herondale, definitely, and maybe Christopher Lightwood, Charles Fairchild, or Alastair Carstairs.
Done and done.

"'You're suggesting we burn down the Blackthorn Manor?' said Ty, his eyebrows up around his hairline. 'Oddly,' Magnus muttered. 'you wouldn't be the first people ever to have that idea.'"
