This series sounds fabulous. I've never read anything by her - would you recommend this series to start or her other one?

The storyline begins there and many of the characters from the Demonica series will pop up in the LOD series. I absolutely love, love Larissa Ione and I've given every single book in both series 5 stars and I've never done that with any other author.
