gm my 💞 x I'm okay-ish this morning. I'm getting flashes of people's fates, it kinda feels like a zeroing in, & it's not super comfy so just processing thru that. Gonna try to put on a movie & distract my body with easy stuff around our house. Today I am grateful I am safe & that my body feels good. also I don't give a flying fuck about the hermetic order of goldie hawn's timeline or preferences fr 💀

Switching between this & Agnes Grey is jarring for sure 😂 not in a bad way, just the ease of Crescent City cuz it's modern language is like a cool drink of water on your brain idk how to explain it lol. Also we saw The End of Oak Street last night. It was...a movie! It had dinosaurs & wormholes. I think bestie is gonna be taking a break from choosing our movies for a minute lmao have a good eve b x

Hi bub, happy Wednesday! x I gots stuff to do today and like a teensy bit of energy so I will be taking advantage. Best tip from chronic illness girlies. Do what you can, when you can! I do remember sort of what's going on so not restarting cuz I don't feel like reading the first few chapters again lol. People ask how I do that, remember all the books I'm reading. I do not know, I thought it was normal 😭

You, today, in my head: “DON’T MAKE UNNECESSARY JOURNEYS! DON’T TAKE RISKS ON TREACHEROUS ROADS!” 🗣️🤣 I’m fine b I’ll be safe I swear!
I left off approaching a big werewolf fight, this series does have SO many characters lmao. Crescent City is known for its complex world building. My fav character in this series/ACOTAR is The Morrigan. Not Morrigan, she's referred to as “The Morrigan” or Mor with friends. She’s this high femme blondie & part of the Night Court, but my favorite thing about her is the way her powers are described. They aren’t. Nor has she used them yet. It’s a running joke among SJM readers that nobody knows what The Morrigan’s power is, only that the author regularly gives a vague hints about her being stronger than even Rhysand, Azriel, or Amren 😂 (they’re the oldest/most powerful—many have a theory that Ruhn from CC is Rhys’s descendant.) The vague hints are literally just something about her screams/yelling drawing forces to her. But I love that she’s so scary she never even has to use that shit and everyone just knows lmao. My guess is she can like, summon all things across dimensions/worlds to do her bidding. Like commander of an undead army type shit but not just the undead and not just humans 👀My favorite part is that The Morrigan is a real goddess in Celtic mythology. From Wiki: “The name is Mór-ríoghan in modern Irish before the spelling reform, and it has been translated as "great queen" or "phantom queen". The Morrígan is mainly associated with war and fate, especially with foretelling doom, death, or victory in battle. In this role she often appears as a crow, the badb. (okay period lmao) She incites warriors to battle and can help bring about victory over their enemies. The Morrígan encourages warriors to do brave deeds, strikes fear into their enemies, and is portrayed washing the bloodstained clothes of those fated to die. She is most frequently seen as a goddess of battle and war and has also been seen as a manifestation of the earth- and sovereignty-goddess, chiefly representing the goddess's role as guardian of the territory and its people.”
She is worth a Google, the history is so fascinating! 💚
