V late good morning/good aft! xx I got up this morning, took my daily meds ready to start the day, and immediately fell back asleep lol.

I got through like 3 pages of this & now time for coffee? All the art is up and it looks so good!! Actually so cute in here. I can’t wait to have company soonnn 💞

Gm!! I fear I have remembered why I am not reading fantasy/my most loved genres right now, they remind me too much of someone 😭 and I haven't even gotten to the spice yet...Coffee & then pre-cleaning for my mother. She is coming today to hang art lol I don't really want people over but also that lady is like a tornado of organization so she can do whatever she wants here tbh. I watch her and get tired lol

Dude I am not even sure what year it is. I fell asleep on the couch sometime after work. 6? 7? Not sure. Had some WEIRD ass dreams. For those that don't dream, it's not always fun!! lol but I'm okay. I'm p sure I just cried & passed out. which prob means I needed the rest!

Good morning! Where are we in this book? I think we were at Gateshead Hall and now Lowood School. How they name things in these books reminds me of how they name food at Trader Joe's idk how to explain it lmao. Like everything kind of has the same name but different but also weird? like just slightly off. Wuthering Heights was "Thrushcross Grange" lol again is it me? who knows.

Good morninggg! Since I finished Wuthering Heights I decided to read some of this. It's not high on the list of things that I plan on finishing soon, pun intended lol...but I just wanted to start to compare to WH since I just read that one :)
I did not sleep very well last night even though I felt perfectly fine. I have a feeling maybe someone else had trouble sleeping as well xxx I tend to have a sense for it

Honestly I’m trying to read this book before bed about this garbage family and all I can think about is how lucky I feel that my v v elite and…specific chosen family is literally nothing like them lol. As the type of person who’s better 1:1, I can’t wait to be in person with them again soon. Loving this book, despite my distracting thoughts 😏💞 tysm for guiding us b!! mine foreva now 😈

Woke up feeling surprisingly calm and ready this morning.

One of the craziest parts of all of this to me is how even through moments of high emotion or confusion, I always felt so calm & steady at my Core and steadfast in my decision. There were just too many signs to ignore. Ignorance may be bliss (for some), but it is not the same as love. I choose love 💞🥹 x

Google "selective mutism autism" and that might be helpful lol for me it's more like 'quieter than usual' as opposed to 'selective mutism.'

Minor updates tonight—I would just skim read, not much to pay close attention to!

Starting the morning with a little encouragement :) I have owned this book for at least 2 years now, and this is the first time I’ve been able to read past ~20 pages or so. It’s a lot and I still take breaks every few pages. The stats were when some things really sunk in for me. So I commend the bravery of anyone who even attempted this on their own, esp if the anecdotes feel relatable.

made it through another workday! dang, reading this today, I feel like there's some interesting stuff happening in this chapter. Hope anyone reading Alchemised who is a bit more directly affected by certain content isn't struggling through it too much--I def had my moments in other chapters!

Morn from the moors! I think this is a short list that might ease the pressure for someone powering through this book. Here are a few things, assuming my understanding is correct, I don’t focus on & tend to allow lots of grace:
- unexpected time period shifts
- financial status considerations and related timeline dialogue (due to trade market economy)
- character behavior outside of the narrator’s purview
