I’m gonna go on a drive x I’m okay I promise, I’m just overwhelmed and processing so much information in front of so many eyes. It has nothing to do with my love for this book, at all. Google "selective mutism autism" and that might be helpful lol for me it's more like 'quieter than usual' as opposed to 'selective mutism.'

Happy Saturday! I wish it was sunny 😭
I know that I have been quiet this week, I hope that my fellow readers know that is not due to indecision or lack of commitment. I’m still here, still reading, still as sure as I ever was!
I’m just ready to have a tangible understanding of this book. To have it really hold me 🥹💞 there are some books that do this for us in ways others simply cannot.

made it through another workday! dang, reading this today, I feel like there's some interesting stuff happening in this chapter. Hope anyone reading Alchemised who is a bit more directly affected by certain content isn't struggling through it too much--I def had my moments in other chapters!

Might try to read some of this today & kinda feeling like TV? Maybe Succession or Industry?
Sometimes I forget that others might miss everything about them as much as I do, a novel idea. The writing is a dream—so brilliant & true to the material, it feels like we’ve been with them forever. If u relate, I hope you find threads of the stories you know & love in other content when all you want is more from the writers!

Okay now that I'm out of the shower and feel slightly less like a WFH troll, I shall attempt to read a little of this. And maybe watch Succession. I also think I have a v small migraine which could likely be cured with a McDonalds coke sooo that's not looking like a bad idea either.
I can't wait to hear what others think about me doing all this talking to myself about this book, and others for that matter lmao

Taking a longgg afternoon break (& nap??) reading this and eating chicken tenders. Would maybe not recommend this one with a meal lol
the world building in this is really complex, so if you're overwhelmed, keep going! I have a feeling (based on prior reads of the original & faith in the author's abilities), it will be resolved and all make sense by the end
