I don't like that a lot of the things are kind of assumed and brushed off, e.g. she likes the city. Ok, but has she gone around it? It's insinuated, but we've not experienced it with her. The tarot scene could've been great if she voiced her concerns, and it is in character cos she has said all these other seemingly stupid things. Instead she is talked at.

Background explanations right at the beginning of the book are becoming a bit of a pet pieve for me ngl. I am really rooting for this book so I hope it goes somewhere good.

Also, is she actually that bothered about the whole dead father thing? Cos again, its just a constant reminder, but it is something we are told
