There’s a certain someone who is definitely not going to make it to the end. So much foreshadowing confirmed recently by the fact of this being a frame narrative. I don’t particularly care for this character, but our MC does, so I am already grieving for him.😢

Just when I am getting frustrated with the vile comments of some characters, no matter how sporadic, and considering dnf’ing, Ruocchio comes in with some profound and insightful commentary on mankind. I have a love-hate thing going with these books.🤭

Every time Palino speaks I cringe waiting for something vile.😒

Just getting back into this book after taking a break to read our BOTM. First day back and I encounter two horribly crass statements with f-bombs. I am strongly considering dnf’ing. But this one is supposed to contain Christian allegory, and I was really looking forward to that.😭

So brutal, but for some reason, I can manage these books when I couldn’t manage Red Rising. Idk.🤷‍♀️
