Is it a different kind of brutality? Maybe with the setting being different or different characters it’s easier to read.

I don’t remember enough of what I read in Red Rising to figure it out. I would probably have do a analysis of my feelings as I read each book side-by-side. I don’t care *that* much.🤭 And it’s not that this one doesn’t bother me at all—I can’t read these books back-to-back—I need a breather in between.
