Using the metaphor of winters effects on the earth compared to kerewin slowly dying is so good. Gotta me one of my fav literary metaphors, it’s sometimes overdone but when it’s done right, it’s so good

After talking to my mom, who’s read this book, she pointed out that Simon most likely has autism which makes SO much sense for the plot. I’m still very interested in why my dad disliked the book though…..he said it was just very sad and makes you mad, which is curious

I can't get over how these mini lessons are throughout the book. No matter how hard you try to name something it still just is what it is. So cool
