Immediately first three pages sounds like An Ember in the Ashes series in sooooo many ways like same phrases and plot points even seems like. Enemies to lovers talented at fighting girl and boy fighting different issues that are really the same issue...i'm assuming maybe not tho. It's actually crazy how similar... ominous magical woods that only certain ppl know how to deal with? riight.

I will say tho this book is really challenging me i might have to reread the first 8 ch is how im feeling almost but ive been feeling that the whole time and i just keep reading and it is making more sense over time. ...okay it was just the most confusing the 1st ch bc i have been reading memoirs one story line no magic type books recently so i think i needed time to adjust.
