i’m feeling a pattern start to emerge: livia tells us about their first encounter with a spirit, sebastian tells us about their encounter in the 1760s, and then he tells us how they meet in the 1780s. rinse and repeat. it’s an exciting story but i don’t like hearing about important characters for the first time when i’m already halfway through.
