time moves so quickly in this book it's hard to keep up. i keep having to look up what happened to some past characters to be sure that i haven't missed anything.
really, i hope this story is worth it. it's nice to read and magical and alluring, but i kinda wish to be gripped by the plot a bit more. it feels like things happen and then they stop happening, then they happen, then they stop etc etc etc
