well that was abrupt. I'm beginning to wonder if this is intended as a series opener and isn't going to develop as much as I'd like

so far, it's a bit mopey, not what I'm used to from Thornton. and the % complete has advanced more than the story seems to have. i assume there will be a love interest, but it's not clear who if so. interested to see where this goes.
