He gets a copy of his tape, sees Jerry found a new path (since Anderton SEES his name he won’t actually commit the murder, so how many of these have happened before and the ppl were still jailed?)

This one let the reader know his fate without having to actually show it, which I liked the lack of spoon-feeding. I did get a little confused on the gun showdown as the men were just in the room when his wife left him? Hiding idk.
This one was interesting also and would've done well as a Twilight Zone episode.

Geez the wife (read: every female character so far) is written very “of the times” to put it lightly
Man holds him at gunpoint, he manages to disarm then says what if they implant a diff memory, something exciting that won’t make him yearn for adventure again. They agree to say he met aliens and saved the planet but when he goes under he remembers saving the planet but also killing a man on Mars. So he’s doomed.

When MC leaves he thinks wow great to be back on Earth and in his pocket is 50% refund for his troubles. He goes to the company to demand the rest of refund since the memories didn’t take and he remembers his trip to the office. They refund and warn to never talk about this fake trip
He plans to report company but sees a box of souvenirs he smuggled out of Mars, fauna and such. So he’s been. But not this fake trip

Quail wants to go to Mars but can’t because it’s only co-op military missions. So he pays exorbitant price to have memories implanted in him (along with souvenirs, they thought of everything lol) that he had a vacation to Mars
Middle of procedure he comes to saying he was an undercover operative, so some company erased his memories but the desire to go to Mars couldn’t be erased

Some interesting things to think about are Lisa said what if others in jail would’ve changed their mind just like MC if they were also shown the tapes; Also, the book touches on free will/fate, did the precogs banish him to this fate by showing him the tapes it’s clear he wouldn’t have wanted to kill him in any other scenario so...

Chaplain planned to do a military takeover and abolish precog system but Anderton was a unique case b/c he saw the report. He does kill Chaplain to prevent a military takeover and save the precog system. So in the future it could happen again to the next commissioner, watch out Whitwer lol
Really cool idea, I can see the foundations in Psycho Pass
The ending was a little short but I appreciated the brevity overall

MC escapes w his wife in her ship but she assures Whitwer is not behind this, he could’ve deleted the minority report but didn’t. And if MC accepts that report then he also must accept the majority one. His innocence means downfall of the system
Fleming snuck into the ship and tries to disarm the wife and chokes her, MC hits him. Caplain had deliberately kept MC out of police hands by getting Fleming involved
