There’s a “Perfect Day for Bananafish” reference in here (another short story by J.D. Salinger, shown to me by a very eccentric professor in college) that connects the two stories and made my day.
I thought it would make a very cool, niche literary tattoo (what even is a bananafish?) but apparently there’s an anime of the same name. Bummer.

This book reads like a Wes Anderson script and you guys know how much I love him. I’ve laughed several times so far as well as enjoyed the annoyed banter and dead pan humor. This is a good one, I can tell.
