WHY did she cut her bangs shorter 😩 It’s like Anne’s green hair debacle all over again! Also I really don’t like Ilse’s father. What her mother did certainly cant be THAT bad. It’s not fair to condemn your child for such a thing anyways. “Why would I waste my time educating HER.” He better not be completely forgiven like the other man child from the Anne books. Aunt Laura reminds me of those didis.

I feel like Emily isn’t very likeable. She’s pretty average I’d say. What tends to make her stand out is her beauty and…idk if I like that 😬 She can be funny at times though, like when she called the priest “a big brown wholesome nut”

Aw I kinda wish Emily would end up with Perry :( I hate the teacher so much and I hate Teddy's mom too. Wdym she drowned kittens because her son was too fond of them... I bet the reason she hates Emily is because she knows Teddy loves her. It reminds me of that boy mom trend on TikTok.

Aunt Laura is really getting on my nerves 😡 She reminds me of those older girls who treat little kids like babies. I don’t like Ilse’s dad either (why does he hate women and why does he need someone else to cook for him???). He’s so pathetic. Rhoda gives me a bad vibe. I’m imagining her as that one girl from the Pixie Hollow books.

The writing in this book is really beautiful but the plot is a bit dull. Emily just isn’t that interesting… She’s like the average “dreamer kid” from all of L.M Montgomery’s other books. Also why was everyone fat shaming Ellen?? She really wasn’t that bad. Im not really attached to any of the characters at this point.
