Think Id label this an abusive relationship. To feel comfort in someone saying they’re powerful enough to stop you from hurting them so don’t worry bout it just feels wrong. Malini has hurt Priya already and Priya just sits happily like a patient dog. Wish gay romance would not have to equate to abusive tragedy to be effective.
On the plus side, I like the non-romantic relationships highlighted in this chapter.
