So far I like this but I don’t love it and I had deeply thought it was going to be a 5 star read. I think the comparisons to other novels are fairly inaccurate and while this is queer self discovery and coming of age like some of the comparisons it’s also much more focused on the political as indicated by the summary but I think that was vastly overrated for comparison
