There are a few...issues (for me) but the plot is 100% compelling, and the overall melancholic feel + the faux-Spain setting reminds me a lot of GGK.

After an exchange on Twitter with a fellow Bujold fan, I felt the need to finally read this one, bought it and devoured 15% of it already. There is absolutely no doubt; Bujold is AMAZING and I'm already in love with the book.
