Sometimes I wonder if I read just to have another’s story to tell about. Has my own story grown too boring? I sit and read these grand tales of another’s life, and when someone ask I answer, “Read this story. Read about Jimmy and Antonia”. I’m sitting in my sunroom lost in another’s story. It’s like tasting heaven before it’s here.

But that has nothing to do with My Antonia. It’s just my thoughts.
