I can't explain it. But this feels like it was written by AI. It's very formulaic and over explaining. Also, the cheese and crackers they ate in the elevator feel like main characters.

The second book in this series is on Reese's Bookclub but this one isn't. So we'll see if I just DNF this one and skip to the other.
