I want to like it because I like the characters, it’s a different pace than the previous book. More backstory building and building of things with, so far, a teeny bit of political jockeying for power of this group of exiles. No real focus on WHAT the future plans are just kind of plodding through. Most curious about Titan Adequin Rake’s arm injuries w black veins & lesions

Also really do love how well thought out the writing is? The terms used for ranks and objects and ships and how everything works. Nothing sounds rinky dink lame or hollow. And enjoying the friendship building and camaraderie and teamwork
